As you travel from the Circle City of Dothan, driving north on 431, you’ll begin to see all the new businesses who are making the move to this popular rural city. With the population currently listed on the city’s website at over 3500, Headland is making it’s mark as one of Southeast Alabama’s fastest growing cities. The north and south lane of Alabama State Highway 431 signifies to it’s travelers just how much pride the business owners have while developing their architecturally designed buildings. The beautiful Historical Downtown District of the Town Square of Headland still remains occupied by local owners of hardware, restaurants, furniture stores, coffee houses, real estate offices, etc, and the Alabama Power Company showroom and bill paying office. You will also find the Alabama Gas District showroom and offices just south of the square. All of this combined, gives Headland and all of it’s citizens in this rural county the opportunity to dine in and conduct their business just a few short miles from their homes.
