After remodeling the old Jolly Fox building (for us “old timers” who remember Jolly Fox) and opening his first Dothan restaurant in 1995, Marin Morales had a vision for his Labamba Mexican Cafe’s. This vision was to service wiregrass families with fresh authentic Mexican food that his mother prepared for his own family in Michoacan, Mexico during his childhood. His mother, Chenta Morales (in the foreground picture) gave Marin the passion he needed to become a successful business man in the wiregrass area.

Moving to Montgomery, Alabama when he was 20 years old, Marin and a partner soon opened the very first Labamba Mexican Restaurant in the “Capital City” of Alabama. After experiencing great success, he saw a need and the opportunity for his Mexican cafe’s in the “Circle City of Dothan”. He has invested his time and money in the wiregrass by purchasing the land and building two other locations on the north and east side of Dothan for your convenience. Marin Morales appreciates all of his loyal customers and would like to invite traveling guests of Dothan and any new locals to enjoy the casual atmosphere and large party rooms that his LaBamba Mexican Cafe’s have to offer your families and business associates!
