Gulf States Cold Storage, located in the Sam Houston Industrial Park off of Columbia Highway is a 100,000 sq. ft. freezer warehouse facility. Local Poultry Plants and Dairy businesses use Gulf States Cold Storage’s services to store and then ship their products by tractor trailer, air travel and by domestic waterway shipment from Mobile, AL and Pensacola, FL to international ports. Our office staff is responsible for preparing 90% of all the documentation to export their products all over the world.
One of Dothan’s coldest places to work, it’s a given that this facility has one of the highest electric bills at Dothan Utilities. This “unknown” business is responsible for shipping over six million pounds of poultry a week to international markets such as China, Russia, Japan, the Bahamas and Cuba.
